    * Poetry for Women's History Month:  The Doll Collection:  from Raggedy Ann to GI Joe, Barbie to teddy bears, dolls shape our thinking about the body, gender, race and class.  Dolls influence our memory and understanding of childhood.  Join us on Sunday, March 26 at 1:30pm, when ten poets will read their poems and discuss the dolls that inspired them.  Register here today.

    * Author Event:  just in time for opening day, please come meet author Paul Kocak when he discusses his new book, Chasing Willie Mays:  Chronicles of a Fan Left Behind, at AWPL on Thursday, March 30 at 6:30pm.  Spanning a baseball fan's life, this memoir explores hero worship, coming of age, and obsession.  Paul Kocak grew up in Stamford, CT, as a New York Giants fan in baseball's golden age.  Kocak's journey features encounters with Hall of Famer Willie McCovey, 1971 Cy Young winner Vida Blue, commentator William F. Buckley Jr. -- and Willie Mays.  With a subtext of addiction and recovery, Chasing Willie Mays travels coast-to-coast and into the soul with grace, insight, and humor.  Register here today!
